Being a bear is camp. Some like to pretend to be hypermasc but even that, ultimately, is a camp mockery of heterosexual masculinity. Also the flag is earth tones with a bear paw on it. It’s camp.
Being a bear is literally the height of not-serious business. But despite this taken very seriously for what is just light-hearted slang to mean bigger and hairier than some arbitrary standard of euroamerican gay beauty.
As an identity, it is very difficult to corporatise on purposes as that would make corporations deal with niche gay sexuality head on. But on the flip side, there is a cultural requirement to take anything bear-themed that isn’t nailed down.
Simultaneously camp and homosexually hypermasculine, unserious but explicitly countercultural, unmarketable and yet easy to market to
tiktok is doing the same sort of damage to young adults and teenagers that fox news is doing to boomers. i’d even say tiktok is worse with how influential social media is and how it’s beginning to take precedent over actual news.
it’s so interesting the way zoomers will talk about how old folks are so gullible and will believe everything they see on tv just because tucker carlson is the one saying it, but then turn around and listen to some true crime tuber they believe to be the authority on law and order. you are not immune to biased information.
I’m really into internet discourse but only pointless and stupid internet discourse like how many holes there are in a straw (it’s 2)
This is exactly what I’m talking about.
I’m sorry but mathematically speaking this question has a single objectively correct answer, which is 1 hole. This can be very simply proven; a straw and a torus are homotopic, and a torus has one hole.
i odnt think thats true one of my friends is a taurus and hes fine with gay people
